Carrot Halwa (Gajar ka Halwa)

 Ingredients

  1. 300 gm Carrots
  2. 400 ml skimmed Milk
  3. 50 gm (5 tablespoon) Sugar
  4. 2 chopped Almonds
  5. 1/4-tbsp Cardamom powder
  6. Roasted Cashew nut (for garnish)
  7. Grated khoya (optional)

How to make Gajar ka Halwa:

Gajar ka Halwa

  1. Take the carrots and wash them properly
  2. After having washed the carrots, scrap them first before grating
  3. Take an open pan and put milk and carrots in it
  4. Now cook at slow flame for about 40 minutes, till the milk dries up and the carrots are well cooked
  5. Add on sugar to it  (add Khoya - if you plan to use it) and stir well
  6. Cook for a while, till the mixture dries up
  7. Garnish it with almonds, cardamom powder and cashew nuts (or your favourite dry fruits) and your yummy dish is ready to be served

  2. Gajar Halwa
  3. Indian Carrot Pudding
